Our school is in a medium-sized town close to the sea and is very touristy in the summer. The region boasts beautiful preserved natural landscapes such as salt marshes.
We would like to send a few of our French students to an American school for a period of 4- 6 weeks and then to welcome American students for the same period of time with accommodation in the home of his or her exchange partner. The exchange would therefore be based on reciprocity of accommodation and free schooling.
As part of the exchange, pupils would attend a majority of the classes in the host class, taking into account their options and capabilities, and the timetable would be arranged when they arrive.
We can welcome 2 to 5 American students. They would be enrolled either in Première or in Seconde ( Year 11 or 10)
Our students in years 10 and 11 who are selected to go on an immersion course are highly motivated and are chosen based on their academic record around October. They have the B1 level of the CERL (European Framework of Reference for Languages) and sometimes more.
We have developed exchanges with several high schools in European countries such as Italy, Austria, Hungary and Norway, as well as with the United States and New Zealand.
