My name is Marcelline and I have been teaching English for 15 years. I am currently teaching in Anne Frank elementary school in a small town south of Lyon (our 3rd biggest city in France) and my pupils’ age ranges from 11 to 15. As a student myself many years ago, I took part in an exchange with a school in the USA; we exchanged letters, some emails and visited them around Halloween. We stayed with our partner’s family and attended some lessons. It has been a dream of mine to organise this type of exchange for my own students. American history and culture is part of our teaching curriculum but nothing compares to a real experience. Through virtual exchange, our pupils would be able to communicate in English and French, improve their knowledge in the key languages and as well their social skills. Meeting foreign teenagers, sharing their way of life, their school life, would make them better world citizens. I would love to find a paprtner school, ready to organsie virtual exchanges as early as september 2024, and to welcome you in our school and our homes in the 2024/2025 school year, hoping you would be ready as well to welcome us in return.
