Three high schools in Cache Valley, Utah are looking for a high school in France that would like to set up a regularly scheduled exchange that would take place every two years, if things go well during the first exchange. There are 3 high schools in our valley that have previously worked together to send students to France this past March. Since there is usually just one French teacher per high school, we would like to continue to work together so that we always have two teachers who are able to go to France with the students, without the responsibility falling on the same two teachers each time around.
We would definitely like to have two French colleagues from the school come over each time with their students, and by doing a direct exchange, we could certainly do this for a very reasonable amount of money. Students would have an exchange partner that they stay with and get to know, and they would stay at each other’s house. The teachers here would host the French teachers as well.
One of the American teachers already has experience organizing this kind of exchange with a school in Germany, so we would be able to draw on that experience to make our exchange with a France High School a success.
