Hello,
My name is Maria. I am an English teacher in France and I am hoping to find schools in the US that would be interested in setting up an exchange between our schools.
The aim of this exchange would be mainly cultural with students discovering American / French ways of living, learning about
local history and improving their language!
We’ve had an exchange with a high school in Tennessee until 2015, but unfortunately the project has been canceled due to low numbers on their side.
Our school is a private Catholic school in Amiens, a city located in the North of France.
Our students are aged 2 (kindergarten) to 18. The exchange program would involve a small group (about 15 to 20) of our 9th grade students (aged 14-15) and your high school students who are studying French, no matter what level.
Historically and culturally, our area offers a variety of places to visit: our capital is
only an hour away; the D-Day landing beaches are not so far either. Amiens attracts tourists from all over the world who come to visit our Cathedral.
The exchange would take place during the school year and students would be
hosted in their « penpals’ families on both sides.
Please let me know if you are interested in such a project with us.

Thank you for reading me. I’m hoping to hear from you very soon!
